Annie was involved in teaching the wives of the men students of the Bible College. She was a content woman who found happiness in clothing, feeding and caring for the needy.

In 1926, W. C. MacDougall family left India and returned to Canada, where Dr. MacDougal became pastor of the Hillcrest Church of Christ. There he also taught at the Canadian School of Missions. While Dr. MacDougall went to be with the Lord in 1935, Annie continued to live in Toronto, helping her two daughters prepare to go to India for missionary service.
